Florian Görlitz is fascinated by movement and frequency – as principles of nature and as reflections of life itself.

His curiosity about the geometry of nature led him to explore forms, patterns and mechanical systems where structure and dynamics merge.

Extended travels through India and a period of retreat – living alone in a forest hut – deeply shaped his artistic language. In stillness and close connection to his surroundings, he developed his first larger works. They quickly gained attention within Berlin’s club and festival scene and soon led to international invitations to events and exhibitions around the world – from Ibiza, Madrid and Tulum to Burning Man and Boom Festival. Today his work has been shown in 15 countries.

Besides the stages for others, he co-founded three festivals of his own – 2Takt (every year since 2016), Lichtkunstfestival Heidenheim and Beyond the Mountain in South Africa. He knows both sides: what an artist needs, and what an organiser has to deliver.

Early on, he recognised the unique potential of kinetic art: illusion not as deception, but as an invitation to shift perspective. Through precise mechanics, light and hypnotic patterns, he creates installations that alter perception while posing a simple yet powerful question:

What is reality? And if much of what we perceive is illusion – might we also have the power to change it?
